Chandler Regional Medical Center

Growing for the Community

Chandler Regional Medical Center reached a critical capacity level of high occupancy requiring growth to serve the future needs of its patients and community. Increasing capacity in a thoughtful way, focusing on care, increasing operational efficiency, and reinforcing safety, were just a few of the hallmarks Dignity Health wanted in the design of a 176,000 SF expansion to its Chandler hospital. Charged with those hallmarks, architects created a design for the new tower that includes five floors providing a new emergency department, intensive care unit, chapel, and dining area while also adding 96 private rooms. Within the interior, our interior designers set objectives for design to promote privacy, durability, efficiency, quality and sustainability in an engaging hospitality-like atmosphere. Chandler Regional Medical Center first opened in 1961 and has been the heart of health and well being for its community ever since. Inside and outside, the tower expansion helps CRMC to continue that legacy as it grows with the community for the bright future of Chandler.
