In 1997, Dr. Grade visited orcutt | winslow with hopes to form a design team to construct his dream project. This project after 5 1/2 years has become a reality. The Desert Pain Institute is a 29,500 SF comprehensive alternative medicine clinic that specializes in pain management. There are four main components that make up the building. The Wellness Clinic/office focuses on naturopathic and homeopathic treatment as well holistic therapy. An outpatient surgical suite licensed as OSC contains four operating suites. The last two components are a physical therapy wing and an aquatic therapy center, which houses two therapy pools and a jacuzzi. With treatment rooms, massage rooms and two very sophisticated mud baths, the Desert Pain Institute is essentially a medical center with spa features, which allows their patients to feel very comfortable.
