The program requirements that influenced the 31,000 SF new office design were in response to the firm’s current space--where we resided for over 25 years. Cramped work space and inefficient proximity to one another (due to being dispersed into three different buildings), created a need for collaboration, flexibility, and an open environment. We wanted a space that was fun, exciting, and inspired creativity. The lobby welcomes guests with a beautiful view, a café to relax, and an art gallery where local artists display their work.
The 16th floor was designed to incorporate all of the functions of Administration, Marketing, IT, conferencing, and lounge/break area. These functions were designed on the lower floor with an open connection to the 17th floor to allow the design staff to be all on one floor, creating an environment of collaboration that inspires creativity.
The ability to work with a large, diverse, and knowledgeable group was crucial in designing our office and it was a participatory process - and evidence of creating an attractive solution, within a limited budget, and with the resulting LEED-CI Gold Certification
