The Beatitudes’ campus redevelopment project comprises an ambitious plan of rethinking the concept of an extended care facility. The goal of the new campus will be in keeping with the Beatitudes four core values: compassion, accountability, respect, and excellence. The hope is to create a place where the inherent dignity and self worth of each person, both staff and residents, is realized to its full potential.
The redevelopment plan will help to encourage diversity, protect privacy and promote interdependence among all whom live and visit the site. The will be structured into four phases. The first phase will consist of three new mid–rise residence buildings, including a new town center providing numerous resident services and recreation. A series of new patio homes will also be built, catering to the younger services. Phase II will include a new 24–unit dementia unit, as well as a mid–rise apartment building, additional patio homes, and various remodels of the existing Care Center and Assisted Living unit. Phases three and four will consist of four new two and three story garden apartments. At completion, the campus will encompass over 300 additional apartments and will cover the full continuum of care.
