Senior Associate, High Performance and Sustainability Leader
Ashley is currently leading High-Performance Building and Sustainable Design at Orcutt | Winslow and guides the firm with the goal of meeting the 2030 Challenge, a commitment to a Net Zero Energy portfolio by 2030. She manages a service line for Orcutt | Winslow focused on high-performance building science, energy and sustainability consulting, as well as designing deep green projects. Working with each project team, Ashley coordinates the review and implementation of sustainability strategies and practices in order to ensure every project complies with the high standards of sustainability and efficiency held by various certifications nationally. Ashley is a sought after speaker and has taught numerous classes on the subject of sustainable design in her 15+ years of experience. Currently, she serves as the CASHE (Central Arizona Society of Healthcare Engineers) Sustainability Liaison and Advocacy Co-Chair, managing outreach to hospitals on reducing energy consumption. She is also the 2020 USGBC AZ MLAB Chair, an LBC Sonoran Building Collaborative Facilitator, and a member of the national AIA 2030 Working Group. Ashley fell upon architecture in college and realized how much of an influence she could have on the world and environment through her work. The impact on lives through her work sparked a drive to create spaces geared towards the people that spend their time within. Being in a dynamic practice and getting exposed to something new every day gives motivation to her work. When not at work, Ashley loves being in nature and chose to specialize in sustainability because of the impact that her buildings have on the environment.
