Horse Lover's Park

Immersed in the natural beauty of the Sonoran Desert, Horse Lover’s Park is a popular equestrian park located just north of the Union Hills Dr. and Tatum Blvd. intersection. Our vision is to upgrade the current facilities at Horse Lover’s Park so it can continue to provide equine services for the horse community of the North East Phoenix Valley and, accommodate a variety of multi-day events.
The master plan represents an expanded Horse Lover’s Park that maintains the rustic family charm and character of the park by increasing the park’s programs and replacing aging infrastructure.

The factors that determined the final master plan include the following:

• Entry Experience
• Separation of Horse Trailer Traffic and Spectator Movement
• Convenience of Spectator Parking Areas
• Location of New Livestock Stalls
• Location of a new Covered Arena
• Location of a Community Park/Garden for the Local Community
• Construction of a New Event Center

The Horse Lover’s Park Arena will suit the widest possible range of spectator-oriented meeting, assembly, and large floor exhibition events including:

• Horse Events
• Livestock Auctions
• Trade Shows and Consumer Shows
• Rodeo Events

The building will function well for each of the above uses and provide a modern standard of amenities and services appropriate for each event. The design minimizes operating costs to assist in the maintenance of a reasonable operating budget and debt servicing.

The building will also serve as a community multi-purpose center, providing services for Adult and Youth Sports use. It will be designed to support these groups with reasonable efficiency given the priority of programmed uses for the special events.
