Summit Health Regional Medical Center Expansions
This exciting project expands the regional medical center to include a full complement of outpatient services for Show Low and the surrounding communities. The overall expansion consisted of a 102,300 square foot Medical Office Building that was inclusive of Physical Therapy Services, an Outpatient Imaging Center, Outpatient Pharmacy, Wound Care Services in addition to Primary Care and Multi-Specialty Clinics. Through collaborative efforts with the Summit Healthcare Medical Associates, the hospital, the design team and the NexCore development team we explored a number of clinic operation models and determined that the primary care and multi-specialty clinics will employ the ‘onstage-offstage’ care delivery model. The flexibility of the universally designed exam rooms and a strategy that employed PAR storage concepts will allow for general surgeons, cardiologists, plumonologists, and urologists to share resources across the clinic. The Medical Office Building is one of three new buildings that support centralized access to outpatient care for the City of Show Low and the surrounding communities. In addition to the MOB, the expansion includes a new Ambulatory Surgery Center and an Administration Building with large meeting rooms that are available to the community.
