Valley View Elementary School
A New Future-Proof Campus
The goal of the project was to design a new school that would withstand the changing curriculum and teaching methods. This 70,000 SF replacement school will be constructed in two phases within an active campus. The new campus will include two new two-story classroom wings, new administration, and media center. The first floor includes spaces for administration, and classrooms for K - 2nd grade, as well as a flex space designed to function for multiple activities. The second floor is designed for grades three to eight with two science labs and a centralized media center that is accessible to the public that can be secured when the school is not in use. Strategically placed throughout are flex areas that students can use for collaboration, small group environments, and spaces for individual study. The school is going to be designated as an apple school with coding and other programming related curriculum being taught with business partnerships.
