Orange County Convention Center Phase V

Orlando, FL

This $490 million, 3.5 million SF Phase V “expansion” of the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC-V) complex is combined with the existing Phases I through IV building across International Drive and is now the second largest convention center complex in the United States. “Expansion” is actually a misnomer, due to the new facility being a free-standing building that nearly doubles the size of the existing facility’s exhibit hall space and from which it is physically connected by a new elevated pedestrian sky bridge that spans across two roads and a lake to link the two buildings. With 1 million SF of exhibit space, 94 meeting rooms, four food courts, four restaurants, two 1,000’-long glass-walled pre-function concourse areas, and a 10,000-car parking area, this new facility truly represents the state-of-the-art in convention center design.
