Shaping Experiences, Inspiring Thrills
International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions
The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) has hosted their annual trade show in Orlando for many years, and now, the global association has moved its headquarters to Orlando from Washington, D.C. The new 22,000 SF headquarter building is located on approximately seven acres just minutes from the Orange County Convention Center. The building is situated on the site to takes advantage of the water frontage to the North and West of the site.
The contemporary, open and bright design of the new headquarters building is both welcoming and dynamic, and is sustainably designed to be environmentally responsible and resource-efficient throughout the building’s life. Project includes office space for IAAPA staff, as well as meeting/conference space, member service areas, and interactive displays. The building’s striking design is accented by a perforated metal freeform orange wave that dances across the front façade of the building. This iconic form is only a hint at the exciting and whimsical elements that will accent the interior lobby and office space, and communicates the excitement and memorable experiences that are a part of the industry IAAPA represents.
